University of Oxford

BA Computer Science and Philosophy

In addition to my prescribed studies, I applied for an exemption to my course regulation to allow me to take Intermediate Philosophy of Physics (which is a course that is usually only open to students studying Physics and Philosophy), for my final honour school examinations. I also studied the modules Introduction to Calculus, Fourier Series and PDE, Quantum Theory, and Special Relativity by the maths / physics department without credit.

High School

I joined PLC Sydney in Year 8 in January 2017. After a year, I was able to skipped Year 9 and accelerate to the cohort above. I was awarded the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for gaining the highest mark in the world in the November 2018 Cambridge IGCSE Physical Science (0652) examinations. â€‹In my final year of high school, I was elected the STEM Captain, and took initiative to organise a lecture in quantum computing by Dr Ivan Kassal from the University of Sydney. For my HSC examinations, I studied Advanced English, Economics, Advanced / Extension 1 / Extension 2 Maths, Chemistry, and Physics. During this time, I also independently self-studied three A-levels and achieved the grades of A* in Economics and Computer Science, and A in Mathematics, with which I secured my offer to the University of Oxford.
